About your facilitator, Kate Horne
I am a therapist and educator living and working in the Yarra Ranges for over twenty-three years. I'm an integrative psychotherapist in private practice and a certified Effectiveness Training instructor.
I spend a fair chunk of time exploring ideas and practices to regenerate relationships, environment and economy, towards a transformation of culture. In service of relational regeneration, my focus is on helping people navigate uncertainty, and working within complexity, develop and realise their potential for flourishing relationships with themselves, their partners, children and community.
I hold a degree in counselling & psychotherapy from the Ikon Institute and am registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). I've been facilitating humanistic communication and relationship skills training for parents, individuals and youth for fifteen years, since discovering it's profound beneficial effects in my young family when my second child was born and things really started to get interesting/challenging as a parent! Alongside and amongst the above mentioned explorations and private practice, I home educate my third and youngest child, and am also training in Integrative Attachment Therapy, a comprehensive approach to adult attachment repair.
