You are invited to a lush, midwinter Retreat at the Miew Shen Temple on Mt. Tambourine.
You'll be leaving with much more capacity to be with all that the menopausal transition requires and offers to you considering its larger context, the natural evolution of woman and your personal wisdom emerging through it.
Menopause is a natural and evolutionary process.
Through the lens of Rite of Passage and the Tao we’ll
offer practices, discussions, inquiries and ceremony to give you a felt sense of entering your 'Second Spring'; in the Taoist tradition menopause is called 'the Second Spring' - how beautiful is that!
It doesn't matter where you’re at on your journey, in this retreat we invite in all humans who are living in the menopausal context.
We gather in the Temple at:
2pm on Friday 27th of June
complete at 5pm on Sunday 29th of June
please arrive from 12pm onward to set up your tents or vans and greet the land, the creek, the plants. Make sure you've had lunch or brunch before arriving.
There are a few beds available for an additional cost of $50/night.
Please be in touch if you'd like a bed or if you'd like to extend your stay into Monday.

During this 2.5 day retreat you'll experience:
- Embodiment practices and meditations relevant for this transition and beyond: supporting the bones, the balancing of the hormonal system, the nervous system, fluidity.
- going deep into the subconscious, the unknown, the mystery: deep rest and a whole array of feelings, particulars and guidance from your soul will become conscious through inquiry practices and movement explorations some in couples, some in the circle, some in nature.
- information being shared about Menopause as a Rite of Passage, how the hormonal shifts affect the psyche, how it is an empowering heroine's journey rather than a decline towards the end of your life.
- a beautiful, intimate Ceremony to mark your personal experience of this moment in your journey, you'll be witnessed and celebrated for who you really are.
- a circle of humans in the menopausal context to share with, be witnessed by, to dance, relax and chat with
- all meal catered for by Daisy, cook and host extraordinaire, teas and snacks throughout the day
- Spa and infra red sauna 24hrs/day
- medicine plant walk with Daisy through her garden
- accommodation on the land in your own tents or vans. There is lots of space; on the land and indoor to accommodate any needs for solitude.
The invitation is to come and hang out in the temple together; we'll be making it really cozy, full of permission, relevant and important. We're encouraging your vulnerability and your truth; we're welcoming inquisitiveness, curiosity, courage and a lot of kindness and compassion towards self and each other.
And most importantly we listen deeply to the space between the words, honoring the pauses, the unknown and the mystery making itself known in surprising and unpredictable ways.
