The Initiation Breath Journey
Event description
Perimenopause: Stepping into the Autumn Woman
I thought I was gliding through this transition with ease—until a conversation with a friend cracked me open. I realised: I’m in it. Deep in it. And it’s more potent, more layered, and more initiation than I ever expected.
Jane Hardwicke Collings describes perimenopause as one of life’s great rites of passage—a time that ushers us into Maga, the Autumn Woman. The Maga is the Wise, Wild Woman. The Harvest Queen. She stands firmly in truth, speaks from the heart, demands respect, and is deeply aligned with her inner power. She’s intuitive, uninhibited, and fiercely herself.
Perimenopause is not just about symptoms—it’s a threshold. A time to harvest our life’s experiences, to reclaim our voice, to shed what no longer fits, and to step into the deeper truth of who we are. It’s also messy, emotional, unpredictable, and wildly human. In my own journey,
I’ve found that being heard is medicine. Sharing stories—both the raw and the beautiful—reminds us we’re not alone. Breathing together, witnessing each other, we create community that can hold us through this rite of passage. That’s why I’m hosting this gathering: a circle for women moving through perimenopause to connect, breathe, and be seen

What to Expect: Come as you are, leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more deeply connected to yourself and the women beside you. • A warm, safe space • Gentle yogic breathing to calm the mind and ground the body • Conscious connected breathwork to release tension, shift energy, and invite clarity • Time to share your story and listen to others in a supportive circle • Insight into perimenopause as a rite of passage into Maga, the Autumn Woman • Space to rest, reflect, and feel seen in community ______________________________________
What this isn’t: This is not a formal, expert-led educational workshop. I’m not here with all the knowledge or medical advice—I’m here as a woman who is experiencing this transition myself. Together, we’ll explore what perimenopause is and what it can mean, share what we know, what’s working for us, and what isn’t. There’s no one-size-fits-all—what works for one may not work for another. This is a space to share, be heard, and support each other in our own unique journeys.
