"The Intimacy Experiment": Jewish Romance Book Club
Event description
In The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan, a sex educator and a young rabbi team up to create a bold new approach to relationships and intimacy. Naomi Grant, a former porn star turned sex-positive educator, joins Rabbi Ethan Cohen in an unlikely collaboration to lead a seven-session series that covers everything from dating to breakups, blending honesty, humor, and emotional depth.
In this Jewish romance book club, we’ll dive into the characters’ unexpected journey and discuss the bigger questions it raises about love, faith, and connection. How can sex positivity and spirituality coexist? What does it mean to truly connect with another person, emotionally and physically? And how can we bring honesty and vulnerability into our own relationships? Expect a lively discussion about dating, slut- shaming, navigating controversial continuing education topics, and how the Jewish tradition incorporates the values of consent and mutual pleasure in intimate relationships.
