FAQs

  • What makes The Listening Room different?

The Listening Room is not a concert or a listening party.

It's a guided experience designed around one album, heard in full on vinyl, followed by private reflection and meaningful conversation.

  • What is the atmosphere?

Elegant. Intentional. Unhurried. A room designed for listening, reflection, and meaningful conversation.

  • Will there be time to connect with other guests?

Yes. Following the album, we gather for guided reflection and open conversation. Many guests tell us this portion of the experience becomes the most memorable.

  • Is this a concert?

    No.

The artist will not be performing live.

This is an immersive vinyl listening experience centered around a single album.

  • Is the album played in silence?

Yes. During playback, phones are put away and conversation pauses. We listen as the artist intended: uninterrupted, immersive, and fully present.

  • What happens after the album ends?

The room opens. We guide a brief reflection where guests are invited to share what moved them emotionally, culturally, or personally. There is never any pressure to speak.

  • Is seating assigned?

    No.

Seating is first come, first served.

Doors open early so guests can settle into the space before the listening begins.

  • What if I arrive late?

Please plan to arrive before the scheduled start time.

Once the album begins, late entry may be delayed until an appropriate moment to preserve the experience for everyone in the room.

  • Will there be food and drinks?

Yes. Curated brunch bites are included as part of the experience. Coffee, cocktails, and additional beverages are available through Hotel Sorrento.

  • What is the dress code?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and present. Avoid gym gear or athletic clothes.

  • Where should I park?

Street parking and nearby public garages are available throughout First Hill. Hotel Sorrento also offers valet parking.

  • Is this event refundable?

All ticket sales are final. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to someone else.

  • What makes this different from streaming at home?

Streaming gives you convenience. This is designed for presence. Experience the album on vinyl in an intimate penthouse setting, alongside a room of people who chose to slow down and listen together.

  • Will there be a break?

Yes. There's a brief intermission between side B and C.

  • What makes this different from listening at home?

You can hear this album anywhere.

The Listening Room changes how you hear it.

By removing distractions and listening alongside others with shared intention, the music has room to reveal something new—not just about the album, but about yourself.
