The Mustard
The Mustard were founded in the early 90's by Michael (guitar, lead vox) and David Crowe (Drums), who's natural flair for song writing and great harmonies always seemed to gel nicely with Marco Forlano's (keys) shared admiration of Australia's greatest songwriters such as Paul Kelly, Neil Finn, Mick Thomas and Don Walker. Rounded out by bass player Mal Wales (The Couch Professors) and Patrick Lyons (American Creek Band, The Unheard), The Mustard continue their ongoing quest to be inner-south-west Wollongong's laziest and yet most entertaining band.
Patrick Lyons
Patrick Lyons has forged a reputation as a fine and versatile guitarist. A member of seminal Wollongong garage institution The Unheard, he has also recorded and performed with acclaimed Australian folk singer/songwriter David Beniuk, most recently on his latest album The New Normal. Other projects include pop maverick Adam Buckland’s Dodgy World, cabaret chanteuse Tia Juana’s Depths of Despair and dark country throwbacks The Cattle-ists.
His music moves restlessly through folk, country, ambient, rock, bluegrass and more and digs around their roots in the hope of unearthing something new that will hold to each song.
Sam Galloway
In solo acoustic mode. Sparse, ramshackle indie-pop nursery rhymes designed for home use only.
