The Nook Sessions - Katie Milae + Roots n Bloom
Description
Katie Milae + Roots n Bloom
Friday 28 August | 6:30pm | BYO | 13+
Previously advertised as Maxon + Katie Milae
If you’ve landed here via one of our posters featuring Maxon, you’re in the right place. Unfortunately, Maxon is no longer able to make the trip up from Victoria and will not be performing at this show.
The night will still go ahead with Katie Milae, joined by Roots n Bloom
Katie has played The Nook before, and it was one of those performances that really stayed with us. Her desert soul stirring folk, powerful vocals and deeply human storytelling are made for an intimate room like ours. She returns this time with new music, including her latest single Darlin’, which has been getting a fantastic response.
Special Guest - Roots n Bloom is a collective of women united through music, culture and community. Based on the Sunshine Coast, their performances weave together high vocal harmonies, global influences and heartfelt storytelling to create spaces of connection, joy and belonging.
FAQs
- Will tickets be available at the door?
These events have historically sold out before the event date. Tickets are limited to a small intimate crowd. Its highly unlikely unless we have cancelations last minute.
- BYO?
Yes! We are not licensed to sell alcohol. So you are welcome to BYO
- BYO food?
No, the space is too small to accommodate BYO food. We have small bar snacks available for purchase, and we recommend eating beforehand. There’s a great Indian restaurant just downstairs, Tandoori Flames.
- Parking
Public parking is available in the Pearl Lane car park, a short walk from The Nook. We ask that patrons avoid using the Cooroy Village Shopping Centre car park so there’s enough space for the restaurants downstairs.
- What does 13+ mean?
Our 13+ shows are open to teenagers aged 13–17 when accompanied by a responsible adult. The Nook is not a licensed venue, however it is BYO, so alcohol may be consumed by adults. These events are primarily geared towards adult audiences, so some performances may include mature themes or language, but the focus is always on live music.
