The Nook Sessions - Rosie Tatts supported by The Million Johnnys
Description
The Nook Sessions Rosie Tatts supported by The Million Johnnys
Friday 4th December | 6:30pm | BYO | Ages 13+
Rose Tattoo classics with a hillbilly heartbeat!
Rosie Tatts bring the grit and swagger of Australian rock into the world of bluegrass, blues and roots-soul, swapping electric firepower for banjo, mandolin, acoustic guitar, double bass and Dobro. Expect foot-stomping rhythms, wild harmonies and familiar songs taking some gloriously unexpected turns.
Leading the charge is Cara Robinson, AKA “Angret”, whose fierce, soulful vocals sit front and centre. Joining her are Hat Fitz on banjo, Johnny Curran on mandolin and guitar, Craig “Hooksy” Bunt on double bass and Patch “Hellhound” Brown on Dobro.
Together, these five seasoned musicians pull the songs apart and put them back together with plenty of twang, mischief and heart. From the swagger to the heartbreak and the singalongs, they find fresh life in the music while keeping its unruly spirit alive.
Getting the evening started are The Million Johnnys, with Johnny Curran and guitar slinger Brother Elbz bringing their own brand of high-energy musical mayhem to our intimate room.
Come ready for raw strings, big voices and a good dose of rock ’n’ roll mischief up close at The Nook.
FAQs
- Will tickets be available at the door?
These events have historically sold out before the event date. Tickets are limited to a small intimate crowd. Its highly unlikely unless we have cancelations last minute.
- BYO?
Yes! We are not licensed to sell alcohol. So you are welcome to BYO
- BYO food?
No, the space is too small to accommodate BYO food. We have small bar snacks available for purchase, and we recommend eating beforehand. There’s a great Indian restaurant just downstairs, Tandoori Flames.
- Parking
Public parking is available in the Pearl Lane car park, a short walk from The Nook. We ask that patrons avoid using the Cooroy Village Shopping Centre car park so there’s enough space for the restaurants downstairs.
- What does 13+ mean?
Our 13+ shows are open to teenagers aged 13–17 when accompanied by a responsible adult. The Nook is not a licensed venue, however it is BYO, so alcohol may be consumed by adults. These events are primarily geared towards adult audiences, so some performances may include mature themes or language, but the focus is always on live music.
