The Parent Tip-Off Experience
Description
You're prepared for the game. Let's prepare you for the experience.
You know the practice schedules. The tournaments. The early mornings and long drives. You've celebrated the wins, helped them through the losses, and watched them give everything they have to a game they love.
But how much do we really know about what they're experiencing along the way?
What does pressure feel like to them? What are they learning about themselves through sports? And how can we help make sure those lessons serve them long after the season ends?
These are the conversations we're bringing into the room.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Keynote speaker Kaleb Joseph: Former ESPN Top 10 point guard recruit, Syracuse University Division I player, and mental health advocate.
Expert panel conversations: Featuring sport social worker Allie Chapman, MSW, and Aaron Burgin, founder of Full-Time Hoops.
Original film and real athlete voices: Hear directly from young athletes about the experiences shaping them.
Practical tools and free resources: Learn ways to strengthen communication, support confidence and mental health, and stay connected throughout the season.
THE PEOPLE BRINGING IT TO LIFE
Created by Heather Cleaves, founder of The Heather Experience, author of What Comes Home, and youth sports storyteller and advocate. As a mother of two, including a former competitive basketball player, Heather brings years of listening to young athletes together with firsthand experience navigating youth sports as a parent.
Alongside Heather is director, Allie Chapman, MSW, founder of Mind Body Athletes, sport social worker, and mother of six athletes. Together, they're bringing professional insight, personal experience, and the voices of young athletes into one meaningful evening.
You don't have to know everything your child is going through to become someone they feel safe sharing it with.
