The Petrov Affair – Single Launch + Golden Fang + The Urban cartel
Event description
It sounds like a line-up of espionage films, but actually it’s the return of those purveyors of twisted bittersweet avant-pop The Petrov Affair - debuting a full band line up at the PBC. Joined by new members Dalas Rodgers (drums) and Ian Empson (bass) the band are also launching a new single ‘White Out’. There will no doubt be a few laughs, meandering monologues, pretty guitars, and possibly capes as they test out the new rhythm section's architectural stability.
Speaking of architecture, Golden Fang join the fun returning to the stage with their beautifully formed immersive rock. As well as playing songs from their recent acclaimed Small Worlds album, described by the AU Review as "an atmospheric and vibrant journey”, they’ll also be bringing some new tunes to be heard for the first time.
The night will be kicked off by The Urban Cartel, who can only be described as Sydney’s best urban - academic – faux – country – soul – folk band.
Hmmm, so it’s a night planned for the mind and the body – come join the affair.
