TOPICS OUR CLASS WILL COVER

Our class will be discussing evidence-based physio services for pregnancy, birth and recovery, focusing on enhancing pelvic, physical and mental health. From pelvic floor and pre-existing conditions to mindset and lifestyle, we will help to ensure your body is prepared and strengthened for the journey ahead.

Maintain your health and fitness during the prenatal and postnatal stages, for a smoother pregnancy and better health outcomes. To improve psychological wellbeing and increase endurance for labour and improve postnatal recovery.

We will discuss guidelines and advice on physical activity and exercise during pregnancy and postnatally.

Management of abdominal muscle separation during pregnancy and postnatally

Pelvic floor muscle training guidance for pre-and postnatally, and managing bladder and bowel issues

Pelvic girdle and low back pain and evidence-based education to manage this

Discussion on vaginal deliveries, caesareans, and advice on post-delivery recovery.

Labour Preparation – Relaxation, Positioning & Pain Relief.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

You only need to come dressed in comfortable clothing and be prepared to try a few exercises on a mat.

We will provide light refreshments.
