This will be a great opportunity at this scenic spot for the next stage in helping repair the environmental damage from invasive weeds. The Friends of Tomaree NP and community supporters have been removing bitou and other highly invasive weeds over the last 12 months. The improvement and vistas are immediately apparent. Now we’re ready to enhance the margins with some native coastal plants.

What better way to meet up with other caring people outdoors in this fantastic environment.

Please arrive before 8am for sign-in, ready for 8.10am start. There is no need to print your ticket.

The program for the morning Saturday 15th April 2023 includes …

8am	Sign in
8.10am	Welcome, overview and into it! (This first session we’ll prepare the specific areas targeted for planting - removing small weeds and grasses)
10am	Morning tea supplied (please BYO mug and folding chair)
10.30am	The Planting! (Banksias, tea trees, lomandras, flax lilies, knobby matt rush and more!)
11.45am	Finish and pack up tools
12 midday	Depart

What to expect

We will remove grass and weeds in the immediate vicinity of the areas we are planting. We'll plant some local natives and learn a little about these plants.

What to wear or bring:

Please bring a water bottle for your use during the morning.

Your protection is important to us. Please wear a sunhat, garden gloves, long sleeved shirt and long pants, as well as covered shoes. If you have an old pair of glasses, they will serve as eye protection, just to ensure no eye stick injuries.

Morning tea is supplied, please bring a mug and folding chair.
