ABOUT RAFAEL KARLEN
As part of a National Tour, the Rafael Karlen Quintet will be launching the first single from Equally True, a project and recording bringing together an all-star ensemble of highly acclaimed Australian improvising musicians prior to the full album launch at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz later this year.
Featuring vocalist Jo Lawry, pianist Matt McMahon, bassist Brett Hirst, drummer James Waples, and composer/saxophonist Rafael Karlen, the ensemble explore lyrical compositions with beautiful interplay.
