Event description

Join us for an exciting adventure in the Science of Nature Play with Tiny Creators! Kids aged 2-7 will embark on a fun-filled journey to explore what happens when science and nature combine.

The session will start with some hands-on fun, where the children will make their very own seed bombs to take home. After this it's time for creating a sensory garden together. How do the different plants smell? How do they feel? What do they look like? Once we've created a beautiful garden the children can explore different stations at their own pace including nature fizz, bug ecosystems, water harvesting and more!

The morning will be fun-filled of early engagement with the natural world and look into the different ways of engaging with STEM learning.

You'll find us set up in the paddock at Dirty Janes, we can't wait to see you there.

This Inspiring Australia initiative is supported by the Australian Government and the ACT Government as part of National Science Week.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

All you need is your little one and a grown up who is willing to participate alongside them. We are outside so closed in shoes (gumboots work great for the paddock), a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and clothes appropriate to the weather (that you don't mind getting a little grubby) are recommended.

How will the session run?

We will start the session with some housekeeping information for the adults. We will then dive right in with our group activities, after this the children will be able to engage with different stations at their own pace through free-play.

What if the weather is bad on the day?

If the weather is significantly bad on the day we will be in touch regarding a rescheduled date.
