The Wattle Express with Dr Gil Craig

Jump on board the "Wattle Express" and be guided by Dr Gil Craig who has spent many years completing flora surveys in the Ravensthorpe region and other parts of WA. Gil lived for many years in Hopetoun and has been wonderful support for the show over a long period. Gil is a highly regarded botanist and author of the "Native Plants of the Ravensthorpe Region" and has produced the information page on the wattles in this program.

Dr Gil led a team of botanist who mapped the vegetation of the Ravensthorpe region, and runs identification courses for the Ravensthorpe Regional Herbarium.

PLUS ! Joining Dr Gil for the tour will be one of Australia's top plant native plant breeders, Angus Stewart ( Gardening with Angus) who is a good friend to the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show. Angus has travelled from Tasmania for the show.
