Nick is Head of Learning at the EMA and his background includes roles as Deputy Chief Executive – Schools and Performance at Unitec and High Performance Manager of the Auckland Blues rugby team.

    John Wadsworth, CEO, Institute of Strategic Leadership
    John is a proven CEO who has successfully developed and executed strategies resulting in sustainable, profitable growth throughout economic cycles, and established clear market leaders in their field. John is an ISL alumnus and has attended the LP, SLP, and ISL | MBA. He was previously the Executive Dean of a Business School and CEO of a commercial council-owned enterprise. During that time, John was seconded to the Auckland Transition Agency as part of the team that designed and implemented New Zealand’s largest merger to form the Auckland Council. John has also held several national body Chair and Board roles. His academic qualifications include two degrees from the University of Canterbury (Economics and Business) and he also completed an MBA from the University of Otago.

    Nick Sheppard, Head of Learning, EMA
    Nick is a highly successful, driven and innovative senior leader, with a proven track record driving strategy, change and process improvement across a range of sectors. He has an impressive history leading change that improves organisational structure and culture, generates revenue, and enhances programme frameworks and financial outcomes. With a people and performance-focused approach to create engaged, highly productive and motivated workforces, Nick has led transformation during periods of change and instability. He has a consistent track record of successfully building and leading teams to exceed organisational goals and targets, and recognised skill in establishing highly effective, mutually-beneficial relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. His proven results and strong commitment to customer experience and engagement has led him to his current role as the EMA’s Head of Learning.

    Sue Osborne, Head of People Development, Foodstuffs North Island
    Sue is an experienced organisational development leader, practitioner, consultant, coach, and facilitator. She is passionate about development, learning, personal growth, wellbeing, resilience and a whole host of other things.
