Event description
For Entries, each entry shall be a Club/Team with entries into all 3 categories. Clubs/Teams cannot bring more than one team of players for the 3 categories; however, reserves may be allocated in case of injury or players unable to attend. Sponsored by Community Underwriting -- insuring not for profits; Hosted by Team Rainbow and Team Tin Can Bay.
There will be no men competing in any Women’s categories. A man cannot take the place of a woman in the Women’s Doubles or Mixed Doubles categories; vice versa, a woman cannot take the place of a man in the Men’s or Mixed Doubles categories, because it's also just as frustrating for such a switch to occur for the other participants.
Day 1 Start: 9:00 am Saturday - with play starting at 9:30 am sharp. Day One will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and consist of 4 rounds of the round robin stage in all 3 categories.
There are 30 mins allotted to each game which will consist of 8 serves (2 per player) with an end change after 4 serves.
There will be no technical break for lunch; however, there will be a period of lunch between 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm where some drinks and food (BBQ) will be offered to players at low prices – please support Team Tin Can Bay’s lovely culinary skills.
The round layout will enable at least a 1-hr downtime between rounds, even if playing in two categories (it's impossible to play 3 categories!!). For those in single categories, there will be 2 hrs between rounds.
Day 2 Start: 9:00 am Sunday with play starting at 9:30 am sharp. Day Two will consist of the final 3 rounds of the round robin for all categories. The Finals will be held on the Sunday evening, as early as possible.
This format is all based on 2 courts for 8 teams across 2 days. The extra 2 courts are scheduled to be ready for TTTT 2-3 Aug 2025.
