Come on a tour of Victoria’s first Earthship, 'Kinship', in picturesque Kinglake, with owner/builder Daryl Taylor.

'Kinship' is a post-Black Saturday, eco-resilient design response to extreme bushfire threat and rapid climate disruption which has been featured across a wide range of media (including ABC Radio National, RRR FM, The Australian, The Age and The Sustainable Living Festival).

Daryl leads three-hour Kinship Tours that showcase the restorative and regenerative design and re-development of the Kinship property, the features of its biotecture and permaculture-inspired design systems, and the vision for our wider social and ecological community-building projects.

Tours include:

detailed inspection of our global model Earthship and outline of biotecture design,
detailed inspection of the biotecture retrofit of our solar-passive mud-brick house,
extensive open discussion of the processes and concepts that inform the project,
Q & A sessions on planning, building and environmental health approvals, and
opportunities to learn, experience and try out natural building techniques.
