About the Event

We’re excited to bring our Toy Swap to Project Planet 2025, in partnership with Bayside Council!

Bring along your pre-loved toys, games, puzzles and books to swap with friends and families in our community.

Our Toy Swap is more than just exchanging toys. It’s a fun way for kids to learn about sustainability, reuse, and the joy of sharing. By taking part, you’ll help reduce landfill waste and make a positive impact on the environment.

Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and contribute. Let’s make a difference together!

What to Bring

  • A bag of toys, games, or books that are in good working condition and suitable for reuse.

  • Ensure all items are clean, damage-free, and fully functional before the event.

  • You may bring one bag of items, no larger than 30 cm.

  • Due to space limitations, large toys or bulky sets cannot be accepted.

Simple rules to follow:

  • Ask yourself: Is this item good enough for my friend or another kid?

  • Due to safety concerns, you must check that all battery-operated items (toys, games and books) are in working condition and replace their batteries when necessary.

  • Battery-operated toys should have battery cases secured by screws or other means to prevent children from prying them open.

  • We may refuse any items that are not in the desired condition, and you must remove them from the premises.

Tips for Participants

  • Clean and sanitise toys before bringing them.

  • All soft toys should be washed

  • Place small parts or pieces in clearly labelled zip-lock bags.

  • You’re welcome to stay and browse throughout the day as new toys may arrive as more families join in!

  • Don’t have toys to swap? You’re still welcome to come along and collect some toys — sharing joy is what it’s all about.
