Behind-The-Scenes at Theodore Payne Foundation
Event description
Ever wonder how the species in your garden get produced to find their forever homes? From seed collection and soil production to greenhouse care and container transport, there are many facets to a working nursery.
Join TPF's knowledable docents for a guided tour of areas not open to the general public. Visit our plant propagation and seed conservation facilities, while learning more about the work that goes into maintaining the wide selection of local native plants available to gardeners across Southern California.
Theodore Payne Members receive complimentary admission for you plus a friend. Not a member? Join today!
This tour will be held outdoors in working production facilities. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and to prepare for up to 90 minutes of walking on steep, uneven, and potentially wet surfaces. Water bottles and sun protection are strongly encouraged.
