Get back to the fundamentals with the five important elements of dance – body, action, space, time and energy.
With professional dancers (to be announced), explore and learn:
- Ideation techniques for creating your own dance with your class
- Choreographic devices, including repetition, mirroring, contrast
- How to use the body and its place in space to create images and share ideas
- How the order of your dance impacts how narratives and ideas are perceived
- Body awareness to support student to be safe while participating
- Options for recording your dance to support rehearsals and sharing
A certificate of professional learning will be provided. This professional learning workshop will support you in demonstrating the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher: 3.4, 4.1, 4.4, 6.4

Bookings are prioritised for teachers employed by the Department for Education and must be made with your Department for Education email address.
