    Event description

Bayley Arts and Paula Lindley warmly invite you to the Opening event of Transition/Transformation, on Saturday 24th August, 2pm.

Showing 22nd August to 8th September

Transition/Transformation aims to express and interpret permanence and impermanence in the landscape, extracting the essence of time and place. In a series of paintings and accompanying ceramics, Paula Lindley records changes to the Australian landscape apparent during repeat visits to estuaries, escarpments and riverbanks.

The works began with observations recorded in situ, with photographs and often sketches made directly from a boat. The artist intention is to capture the transient variations of light and shade on the surface and the significant changes to the water as it rises and falls or inundates the shore.
