Trick or Bleed is a Halloween decorative sharps intensive running across five hours. Three classes, one night, one theme. Come dressed like you survived the movie. Leave marked like you didn't.

Risk Profiles and Cleaning for Sharps Decorations with @xSolaris

Adding decorations to your sharps can make them pretty, dramatic, weird, delicate, sparkly, floral, or completely ridiculous in the best way. This class looks at the practical side of using them. We'll talk about the risk profiles of common decorations like flowers, feathers, ribbon, beads, chains, charms, and more, plus what can be cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, reused, or better treated as single-use. The goal is to help you make better sense of the materials you want to use.

Going Batty: Creating Unique Shapes in Artistic Piercing with @NeedlePlayground

Needles lend themselves well to creating uniform and geometric shapes based on their strict sizing, but working needles at different angles to create more unique or irregular shapes is a different challenge entirely. This class walks participants through the execution of a large bat design to celebrate the spooky season, with tips and considerations for packing several needles into small areas to convey corners, curves, and more. The stencil will be provided to participants to enjoy.

Wings in Flight: Stencil Work with @paradax_

Some designs want to stay flat. This one doesn't.

This class is built around a wing stencil, and the work of bringing it to life on skin. Not just placing needles, but creating tension, using ribbon to pull the design into three dimensions, letting the piece breathe and move with the body underneath it. This is decorative sharps as sculpture.

Paradax will walk through the full process: reading the stencil, mapping it to the body, setting up for clean execution, and the specific technique of threading ribbon through placed needles to create lift, tension, and visual drama. The result is something that exists between piercing and art installation, precise and alive at the same time.

Whether you are new to stencil work or looking to push your decorative practice further, this class gives you the language and the method to take your designs off the page and into the air.

Dear Caroline is the owner of Needle Playground and a kink enthusiast with a particular taste for sharps and other forms of edge play. She was introduced to kink in 2007 and made it her lifestyle in 2017. She is a sensualist who lives on all sides of the slash and is drawn to a variety of kinks, her favorites being sharps and blood play, impact play, and bondage. She is passionate about learning as much as she can about kink and sharing her own knowledge with her community.

@paradax_ is a needle play enthusiast specialising in decorative needles and stencil work. Her love for needle play began in 2017, with the past few years being instrumental in her focus on precise sharps play. Together with her partner, she began The Stencil Lab at the end of 2024, with the intent of sharing unique designs and sparking excitement amongst the needle play community. Paradax has experience teaching sharps in local spaces and in online forums, centered by her desire to inspire confidence in the wider sharps community.
