This Matariki Christchurch City Libraries are celebrating Te Katao a Matariki – the water stars of Matariki. Join us to learn about and make small waka hourua, kāpehu whetū and the maramataka – Māori double haul voyaging vessels, star navigation compasses and the Māori moon phase calendar.
