Tutored Life Drawing
Participants will learn to make marks on a paper to create art work representing the human form. Beginners to intermediate level.
What will be covered in this course?
The 6 session course will cover:
Format of life drawing sessions
Proportions of the figure
Use of line, shape and tone
Develop a personal drawing style
By the end of this course students will have learnt?
Students will have a sound basis for ongoing involvement in life drawing sessions.
THIS CLASS IS FOR: Adults who wish to improve their life drawing skills and beginners new to life drawing. Suitable for art students in senior high school and TAFE.
LOCATION: Woolgoolga Gallery 73 Turon Parade Woolgoolga
TIME: Sundays 1-4 pm
DURATION: 3 hours
WHEN: 19 October, 2, 9, 23, 30 November and 7 December

COST: Member $200/ Non Member $220 includes hire of model for 2 hours
REQUIRED MATERIALS
Basic paper and charcoal will be provided.
Students may bring along their own coloured pastels or conte later in the course.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Jo Holdsworth has over 30 years of experience teaching visual arts in secondary schools. She is an experienced life drawer with a distinctive free flowing style. Gentle, kind with a patient personality, Jo is renowned for her support of her students. Her manner is accessible to all with a focus on skill development through guidance and having a supportive environment in the studio.
