Event description
Join fellow UC alumni at our upcoming Wellington Chapter event on Tuesday 21 May 2024, with guest speaker Jock Phillips.
'Neville Phillips, the University of Canterbury and Me'
Jock’s father Neville Phillips, studied at Canterbury College in the 1930s, became Professor of History at the university from the 1940s to the 1960s, and then served as the Vice-Chancellor (1966-1977). In this presentation, Jock will speak on his fondness for UC, and how his father’s example led him to a very different direction in the study of history.
RVSP by Tuesday 14 May 2024.
