UnCharitable Film Screening for the Not-for-profit sector (Dendy Portside, Brisbane)
Event description
Join us for a screening of UnCharitable, the documentary redefining the way we think about charity.
Facilitated by Social Impact Hub, an intermediary in the Australian impact space, supported by an anonymous Private Ancillary Fund in Queensland, and screened in collaboration with Philanthropy Australia, this event has been designed for not-for-profit organisations in Queensland to attend.
The screening will be followed by a short panel discussing the themes highlighted in the documentary for philanthropy and not-for-profit organisations in Australia.
About The Film
Based on Dan Pallotta's groundbreaking book and viral TED Talk that introduced a radical new way of thinking about giving, UnCharitable is a powerful feature-length 90-minute documentary film built to deliver social and environmental change for good across the globe.
The film exposes the fact that there are two rule books, one for the for-profit sector and one for the not-for-profit sector; and the rules that govern not-for-profits make it impossible for them to solve the world's biggest challenges.
The UnCharitable film delivers thought-provoking insights packaged to move, persuade and inspire UnCharitable's audiences into action.
Strategic screenings are being facilitated by Social Impact Hub across Australia and New Zealand as part of our regional UnCharitable Impact Campaign supported by an anonymous Private Ancillary Fund in Queensland. We do hope you are able to join us.

About Social Impact Hub
Social Impact Hub is a purpose-driven intermediary on a mission to accelerate change so that we can live in a purpose-driven world where the people and planet thrive. Through advice, education, mobilising capital and ecosystem building, Social Impact Hub builds the capacity to amplify impact.
As an intermediary in the Australian impact space for almost a decade, Social Impact Hub has an exclusive license for the UnCharitable film in Australia and New Zealand.
Our aim: to mobilise decision-makers across the region in philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector, to shift the discourse from overheads as a tool for accountability to overheads as an investment in impact.
The outcome we want to see: for people to change the way they think about giving, removing the constraints on not-for-profits that undermine their full potential.
