Understanding Residential Aged Care

Join us for a free information session and expo to learn about Residential Aged Care fees, accommodation costs and connect with local aged care providers.

Presentations will include:

• Nillumbik Shire Council's Aged Care Navigation and Advocacy Officer providing an overview of the My Aged Care system, including eligibility, the assessment process, and how to engage with a provider

• Services Australia Financial Information Service (FIS) presenting information on pension payments, income and assets assessment and contributions for residential aged care 

• Local residential aged care providers showcasing their services and available to discuss care options and individual support needs

This is a great opportunity for older people, carers, family members and supporters to gain practical information and ask questions about accessing aged care services in their home.

Light refreshments will be provided.
