Up! Up! and Away School Holiday Program with Leap Frogs

For children aged 6 - 17 who have Down Syndrome (siblings welcome to register - first sibling FREE).
 

Dates:    Monday 15 July, 2024

Venue:   Hornsby Heights Community Centre, 104 Galston Rd, Hornsby Heights NSW 2077

Time:    10:00am-3:00pm 

Registration: $120 per person

Options

(2) If you would like to use your child's NDIS funds to pay for this event, please select invoice at the checkout and Down Syndrome NSW will invoice you directly.

 We would love to have you involved: Please also express your interest with us if you would like to volunteer.

About Leap Frogs: 
Leap Frogs Action Sports And Games is a company located in the heart of Botany-NSW and leaded by Michel Bonalume, who is a Physical Education Teacher, Post graduated in Exercise Physiology and gymnastics coach with over 13 years of experience within children’s sport, recreational and educational settings. 

All activities are catered to the child’s interests and are adaptable to children of all ages from and abilities, Indoor and outdoor settings.

The day will be jampacked with fun, active and capacity-building activities including: 

- Energizing warm-up activities with music to set the tone.

- Balloon challenges (inflating and using balloons for various fun challenges).

- Team-building exercises with giant buckets (building towers, shapes, etc.).

- Giant Jenga Blocks for both fun and building activities.

- Cornhole.

- Bowling.

- Hand-eye coordination activities with rackets.

- Egg and spoon race.

- Exciting obstacle courses featuring jumping, weaving, crawling through tunnels, and balancing.

- Interactive games with a giant ball (rolling over participants and creative play).

- Passing drills for sports like AFL, netball, and volleyball to enhance coordination.

- Stretching exercises and free play on equipment.




What to expect  

  • Inclusive and tailored sport and active activities: Leap Frogs carefully curated games and activities are designed to promote teamwork, communication, and most importantly, loads of fun!
  • Friendship building
  • NDIS trained Staff and Volunteers to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Parent/Carer involvement - We would love to have our parents and carers volunteering and working alongside our team and our members

What to bring

  • Packed lunch and snacks 
  • Sun safety - hat, sunscreen
  • Water bottle
