Vasant Panchami: Saraswati Puja ~ Celebrating the Light of Knowledge
Event description
Vasant Panchami celebrates the goddess Saraswati and her power of wisdom of all that is real and possible. She is the embodiment of knowledge. She creates order from chaos, inspires growth from hibernation, and conjures the light of spring from winter’s darkness. Look forward to the light and find solace in the inherent continuous flow of nature. All we have to do is get on board!Â
'Vasant' means spring and 'Panchami' is fifth, as the festival is on the fifth day of the Hindu month Magha, marking the end of winter and the start of spring. While we are not quite there in the Northeast, gather with us to chant, feast, and follow in the footsteps of Saraswati as we align ourselves with her movement!
