Please note: this event was postponed from May 2025.

Join us for our first Venture Up Real Talk — a casual networking event where ideas, stories, and people connect.

Our guest speakers are Jacob Smith, inventor of the woo-lace, and Founder of Steaddi — a brand born from a student project and fuelled by a commitment to sustainability, followed by Alejandro Davila, creator of The Green Fairy and Founder of CONICAL — a creative technologies studio at the forefront of digital innovation, offering cutting-edge services in gamification, the metaverse, augmented and virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.

These AUT innovators will share their journeys from coursework concept to real-world product, and the lessons learned while navigating the early stages of commercialisation and entrepreneurship.

Whether you’re curious about entrepreneurship, design, sustainability, creative technologies, or just keen to connect with others in the innovation space, this is your chance to hear a real story, ask real questions, and have real conversations.

Come for the talk. Stay for the chat.
