Verge Gardens in Noosa Shire
Event description
Verge Gardens in Noosa Shire
Do you want the frontage of your land to be a better haven for wildlife and biodiversity? Noosa Council has released guidelines for verge gardens for street frontages in suburban and rural residential areas.
In a joint initiative between Urban Wildlife Gardens and Noosa and District Landcare HinterHub, this workshop will take participants through the design requirements for verge gardens to meet pedestrian safety and servicing obligations, as well as the ideal native plants choices for your verge garden. Participants will learn about two demonstration verge gardens recently installed in Noosa and will be assisted in the workshop to produce a design for their own verge garden.
Date: Saturday September 20
Time: 9am to 11am
Location: Station Place (next to the HinterHub) 6 Station Street Pomona
Presenters: Shaun Walsh (Urban Wildlife Gardens) - Landscape Architect
