Virtual tour of the exhibition 'Great Southern Land' at the National Museum of Australia
Event description
As part of 'Get Online Week' 2023, you can join our Digital Diggers team for a virtual tour of the National Museum of Australia for a 'visit' to the exhibition 'Great Southern Land'. Great Southern Land tells stories of power, connection, life and change. It shows how the Australian continent has transformed into one of the most diverse and resilient places on Earth – and how these changes can guide us in the future.
Get Online Week is a campaign organised by Good Things Foundation aiming to close the digital divide. They believe everyone deserves the opportunity to safely participate in our digital world and no one should be left behind. For one week in October, our network of community partners host hundreds of free digital skills events to help people to get online safely, confidently and affordably. Together we can close the digital divide for all, for good.
The Digital Diggers work together to help make the historical digital collections of South Australia more accessible and meaningful. This friendly group will appeal to those interested in researching and sharing family and local histories through the use of online resources. If you like to write, read, research and talk to other history buffs, then come along and help us uncover the stories of times past
