Supporting Social Connections: Virtual Autism MyTime
Event description
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.
Making friends and navigating social situations can be complex especially for neurodivergent children. How can we support them in building meaningful relationships in a world that doesn’t always make it easy?
Join us for this Autism MyTime peer group as we explore the unique and beautiful ways our children connect with others. We’ll talk about friendship, shifting family and social dynamics, and how we as parents and carers can gently support our kids in navigating these spaces with confidence and care.
This is a space to ask questions, share insights, and connect with other parents navigating the ups and downs of social interactions
The Autism MyTime peer group was created to support families raising Autistic children. While the topics and guest speakers are tailored to their experiences, we also warmly welcome parents and carers who are:
Exploring an autism diagnosis for their child, or
Raising a child with a disability or developmental delay and feel the topic may be relevant to their parenting journey.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other. The sessions are held online via Zoom.
