Sibling Support in Medically Complex Families: Webinar Series
Event description
In families where a child has high medical needs or a life-limiting condition, siblings often carry unspoken worries, big emotions, and experiences that can be hard to put into words.
In this webinar, we’re joined by Siblings Australia for a heartfelt conversation about how to support siblings living in the shadow of medical uncertainty.
We’ll explore how to:
- Support siblings through the emotional impact of hospital stays, long absences, and medical crises
- Gently navigate grief, anticipatory loss, and trauma
- Create meaningful moments and simple routines that help siblings feel seen and supported—even during the hardest times
This webinar is part of a five-part series hosted by Belongside Families in partnership with Siblings Australia. Across the series, we explore the sibling experience through a mix of expert presentations and thoughtful conversations with parents and professionals. Each session offers practical tools and reflections to help you support siblings and navigate family life.
