OERt CIWG | Staying ahead on Employee Wellbeing and Safety compliance management
Event description
Are we across current trends and management of workplace health and safety?   Would anyone be slipping through the compliance cracks?
Come join Sue Bahn for an online SIRF Common Interest Work Group where we explore the latest trends in managing safety and psychological health in today's organisations. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss the strategies you use with your peers to both share and gain insight, and you’ll also be introduced to tools and technologies you can use to support your organisation.
The areas of expertise covered in this workshop are:
- Employer Environmental, Governance and Social requirements,
- Adherence to new State and National WHS legislation,
- Onboarding and Induction training,
- Managing psychosocial safety,
- Using microlearning training techniques, and
- Applying enabling technologies.
About the Presenter
Dr Susanne Bahn -Â Director / CEO
With over 15 years’ consultancy and 10 years’ research including more than 50 published journal articles, Sue knows her way around safety in hazardous workplaces. Her specific expertise focuses on induction deafness, risk blindness and risk management. A passionate individual, Sue is on a mission to lift the safety standard across Australia and internationally. Her qualifications include a PhD (Business – Health and Safety Management), a Masters in Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.Â
As co-founder of Tap into Safety, Sue and husband Geoff have worked together in the workplace safety discipline since 2003. They understand the difficulties that companies have in successfully managing workplace safety and employee mental health. They maintain that for training to be effective it needs to be engaging, use simple concepts and come at a level that the average worker can relate to and understand.
