Join WA Poets Inc. for its 2026 Annual General Meeting, held in person and online via Microsoft Teams. The AGM will be followed immediately by the first meeting of the newly elected committee, from 6:00–7:00 pm AWST. The committee meeting is a separate session for incoming committee members.

RSVP through Humanitix to help us plan attendance and seating. Venue capacity is limited, so entry without an RSVP depends on space available. If attending online, select Attend online when registering. Microsoft Teams access details will be sent to confirmed online attendees before the AGM.

AGM agenda

• 5:00 pm: Welcome, Acknowledgement of Country, apologies and quorum
• Confirmation of the 2025 AGM minutes and any other unconfirmed general meeting minutes
• Chairperson's Annual Report
• Treasurer's Report and financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2026
• Election of office holders and ordinary committee members
• Appointment of a reviewer or auditor, if required
• Membership subscriptions and fees
• Constitutional review: presentation and discussion only; no amendment vote at this AGM
• General Business and close by approximately 6:00 pm

Who can attend?
Current WA Poets Inc. members may attend, speak and vote according to their membership rights under the Rules of Association. Eligible voting members may vote. Observers are welcome, subject to venue capacity, but cannot vote. Please RSVP to assist with attendance and quorum planning.

Membership
Please check that your membership is current before the AGM. If your subscription is due, join or renew here, or contact the Secretary about your membership status.

Committee nominations
Nominations close Friday 23 October 2026, 6:00 pm AWST. Submit the completed nomination form to secretary@wapoets.com.

Proxies and apologies
If you cannot attend, you may appoint another eligible WA Poets Inc. member to speak and vote on your behalf. Please return the signed proxy form by Friday 30 October 2026, 6:00 pm AWST where possible. Signed proxy appointments may also be handed to the Secretary before the AGM begins.
