Watershed Supper Series #4 – Pumpkin Harvest
Discover Watershed Supper Series – A monthly dining experience sparking community connection and dialogue.
Our Supper Series is carefully curated around local and seasonal produce, using food as a means to open up conversations around sustainability, food justice and connection with our environment.
For our fourth Supper Series, we're using locally sourced pumpkins from local producers surrounding Wynyard in the North West of Tasmania.
Chef Isabel will craft a menu to showcase the versatility and deliciousness of this seasonal favourite. Each dish will highlight the unique flavours and textures of the different varieties of pumpkins.
starter - pumpkin kibbeh, chickpeas, spiced yoghurt, pickled cauliflower, fresh herbs
main - native pepper cheddar polenta, roast pumpkin, whipped feta, roasted macadamias, grilled seasonal greens
dessert - Japanese pumpkin cheesecake, roasted pumpkin seed oil
Youth Engagement at Watershed - The events are held in tandem with young people in the community. Leading up to all Supper Series events, youth participants will engage in workshops preparing them in front-of-house operations, ticketing, hospitality, and conversational skills, thereby enhancing their abilities and fostering their passion for community engagement.
