Event description

With predictions of a tricky summer ahead for our cold climate Wadawurrung/Ballarat gardens, there's no better time to learn some basic tips & tricks on how to be more water wise in your garden, to have healthy plants and conserve water for the planet's sustainability.

Join Food Is Free Inc. volunteers for a relaxed Sunday afternoon workshop at our Green Space, as they discuss the fundamentals of:

💦 When to water, how to water, how much to water, the magic of using mulch and other basic watering tips

💦 Setting up irrigation systems + wicking beds + terraced gardens with swales + vertical gardening methods

💦 Other options for water catchment other than water tanks, e.g., Olla pots etc.
