Event description

"We Create!" is an intergenerational movement and music creative project that invites both children and adults to participate in a one-day workshop.

During the workshop, participants engage in guided storytelling through movement, soundscape, and songs to collectively create and celebrate life, nature, and community connections. The resulting creation will be presented to invited family and friends during an open sharing event with live musicians from the award-winning children's band Tiptoe Giants. This open sharing event takes place at the Auditorium of the Senior Citizens Centre in Concord at 4 pm on Sunday 27th April.

Professional artists Renata Commisso and Natasha Cesco, known for their inclusive practices, lead the workshop, encouraging participants to bring their individual experiences to the creative process. All types of caregivers, including parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles, are invited to join.

Workshops are available during the Autumn school holidays at various locations, and interested participants can choose their preferred date and if they wish to participate in the open sharing event.

The project is recommended for children aged 3-8 years old, and no prior experience is needed.

Light refreshments will be provided during the workshop and open sharing event.

To secure a spot, participants must book in advance, as places are limited.

The project is supported by the Canada Bay Council.
