Event description

Let your cultural heritage shine through the art of weaving, creating beautiful pieces that mirror your cultural identity as we embark on "Weaving Our Stories".

Yawayi (hello), My name is Jacinta, a Dunghutti/Gumbayanngiir woman from Armidale, NSW, now residing in Brisbane for the past 8 years.

In the last year, I have delved into the art of weaving, drawing inspiration from the Tjanpi Desert Weavers and various other skilled weavers, exploring different techniques.

Throughout this journey, I have learned both traditional and contemporary methods passed down through generations. I take pride in sharing my knowledge to preserve and honor the richness of Aboriginal Culture.

So come and join us for our first Weaving Our Stories workshop and learn the traditional art of weaving while connecting with others. There are limited spaces available so get in quickly.

$75 per person - All weaving materials will be provided, along with a light lunch.

If you want any more info please contact Jacinta on jacinta@murawin.com.au or 0408085923
