Gluteal tendinopathy is a common condition that often goes misdiagnosed, leading to persistent pain and dysfunction. This 2-part webinar series with Jimmy is designed to help practitioners better understand and manage this condition, drawing on the latest evidence and clinical experience.

Part 1: Understanding Gluteal Tendinopathy—Evidence, Demographics, and Clinical Presentation

In this first session, Jimmy will explore the current research on gluteal tendinopathy, including the demographics most affected and where manual therapy fits in. He will break down the pain patterns and clinical signs that typically bring patients to the clinic, providing a clear understanding of how to identify gluteal tendinopathy.

Part 2: Assessment, Differential Diagnosis, and Treatment Options

The second session focuses on practical assessment strategies, including differential diagnosis, helping practitioners determine if a referral is needed. Jimmy will also cover effective treatment options, with a focus on load-based rehabilitation and a step-by-step approach to progressing patients safely through recovery.

By the end of this series, you'll gain a foundational understanding of gluteal tendinopathy, and the tools needed to assess and treat it confidently, helping you improve patient outcomes and enhance your practice. This knowledge will be solidified in a practical two-day workshop in Sydney on August 16/17, 2025.

Presenter: Jimmy Barker
Jimmy has been in private practice for over 21 years and teaching at CIT for the last 15 years. Jimmy has a degree in exercise science as well as a practicing soft tissue therapist. Jimmy draws on his clinical skills, personal experience, and current evidence to discuss hamstring tendinopathy including differential diagnoses.
