Mary grew up in the Philadelphia area in the 70's. She graduated from Millersville University in Central Pennsylvania in 1981, where she studied French, which included spending her Junior year abroad, attending the Universite de Montpellier in the Midi Region of southern France. Travel and love of language and cultures have shaped her world view ever since. From New York City to Aspen, Colorado, Newport Beach, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada, to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, through entrepreneurial business ventures and more travels, she finally landed in Telluride, Colorado in 1997, where she became a real estate agent and business owner for 25 years. Introduced to yoga in the early 1990's in California, the practice immediately resonated with her, and it took various shapes over the years. Her practice waxed and waned until 2018, when a divorce sparked a lifestyle shift which included reconnecting more deeply with her yoga practice. She moved back to Philly in 2022 and became a yoga instructor, completing her 200 Hour Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. She's been teaching yoga ever since, in both private practice and various studios and venues in the Philadelphia area. Mary also went on to became a Level 3 Reiki Practitioner in 2023. She works with the volunteer Reiki Team at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and also has a private Reiki practice. Her non-traditional path has provided expansive life experiences, which have widened the lens through which she views the world, Mary strives to maintain an open heart and mind, and creates space for anyone interested in exploring a simple and reflective breath and movement experience. She will always invite you to come back to your own body in order to reconnect to your authentic self. Please just come as you are! You'll move, breathe, relax and find peace through a beautiful practice in a beautiful place...
