Wednesday Weed Warriors prepare Coyle Park site for native planting
Description
This month we’ll have the pleasure of working by the sea at Coyle Park in Point Chev. The aim is to prepare the site for a native planting event later in July. We’d love you to join us for a fun and social morning by the sparkling Waitematā harbour!
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or have never picked up a weeding tool before, everyone is welcome. Our friendly team will be there to show you how to identify pest plants, share their knowledge, and help you learn as you go.
Please register for this event so we know how much gear and catering to bring.
Meet - on the grass area near the start of the roundabout - see red dot on aerial image above and look for the Urban Ark flag on the day.
Urban Ark will provide:
-Tools and gloves (but feel free to bring your own).
-Refreshments when the mahi is done.
This project is generously supported by Albert-Eden Local Board. It aligns with Urban Ark’s long term strategy of enhancing wildlife corridors through Urban Auckland.
