Weekday Bird Walks - Wimbi Reserve
Event description
Join Councils Biodiversity Officer for a morning bird walk at Wimbi Reserve Panton Hill
This event offers a wonderful opportunity to observe and learn about local bird species in their natural habitat.
It is for all experience levels from curious beginners to serious twitchers. We will survey for birds, discuss calls heard, discuss the various citizen science and bird Identification guides for bird observations, discuss habitats and how the birds use them.
Don't forget to bring your binoculars and/or camera (if you have some), a notebook, comfortable walking shoes, rain jacket/warm clothes, and water.
This is a walk, moving along the trail and some open areas following bird calls and sightings as we go, so we will be on our feet for the hour and a half.
We will meet at the corner of Motschall Road and Long Gully Road.
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event environment for all attendees. If you have accessibility or inclusion requirements regarding this event, please contact us about how we can help on environment@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.
