This weekend long workshop is a perfect place to start learning printmaking

In this 2-day-long workshop, Emilie will teach you everything to get
started and be autonomous in block printmaking. You will learn to
carve and print with lino & rubber, all of which are part
of the fun family of relief printmaking (big stamps!). We will learn how
to add colour to our prints, with multi-plate and modular stamps.Â
Emilie classes are fun, engaging and adapt to your level. This workshop will focus on bringing you autonomy to be able to print from home straight after the class, as well as teaching you how to introduce colours to your prints.Â
You will create you own limited editions of prints to take home with you!Â
The class will be limited to 10 students maximum so you get all the attention you need to get started on your printing journey !
Emilie will teach you the basic principles of relief printmaking through a hands-on approach. You'll learn to design for print, carve, ink and print your first small edition. Emilie's classes are fun, engaging and adapted to your level ! No experience required. Complete beginners welcome !

What to bring:Â
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Everything else is provided!
1h Lunch break. Kitchenette with microwave, kettle and stove available. Tea and biscuits provided in the workshop.
Schedule:
Saturday 18th of January from 10am to 5pm: Morning 10am to 1pm: Basics of print and first rubber stamps. Lunch break from 1pm to 2pm/Â Afternoon 2-5pm:Â Hand printing Japanese techniques. First edition
Sunday 19th of January from 10am to 5pm. Morning 10am to 1pm : Printing with a press. Linocut personal project. Lunch break 1pm-2pm. Afternoon 2pm-5pm : DIY Etching. Milk carton etching printed in a pasta maker.Â
