5 – 26 Nov West Coast Swing Thursdays + Dinner @ The Vic, Yarraville

Looking for a new hobby with good people? West Coast Swing is the answer!

West Coast Swing is a smooth, modern partner dance you can dance to almost anything: pop, R&B, blues, country, and whatever's in your Spotify this week.

Never danced? Perfect. The Foundation class is for complete beginners, with no experience needed. You don't need to bring a partner. We rotate throughout the class, so you'll dance with everyone. And you choose your role: Lead, Follow or Switch. Nobody's given a role because of their gender.

Start the night with dinner at The Vic. It's the easiest way to meet everyone before you dance, because it's hard to chat over music when you're changing partners every few minutes. Dinner is optional, and meals and drinks are at your own cost.

Already dancing? Come at 7pm for the Extension class.

Wear something comfortable you can move in, and shoes that let you pivot (smooth soles beat grippy runners). Bring a water bottle, and deodorant if you need it. Your partners will thank you.

Gay-friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Spots are limited each night. Book ahead.

Price

$25 per class night. One ticket gets you your class and an hour of social dancing.
