Whale Sound Journey
Event description
As part of Te Ao Earth Week 2025, Terra Nova Foundation and We are Tohorā bring you a The Whale Sound Journey; a guided multi-sensory experience with real underwater recordings of whales. Blending science, sound healing, meditation, and storytelling, this experience invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and feel your connection to the ocean – and to yourself.
Discover the magic of whale song, known to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and awaken a sense of joy. Each session offers a “sonic interruption” from daily noise, helping you refocus, realign, and remember your connection to the living world. Leave with a renewed sense of wonder, care, and belonging – for the ocean, for whales and for all life.
Hosted by Julia Graeter, Whale Woman, Founder & CEO of we.are.tohorā.
Te Ao Earth week is a week of celebration of those who are taking action to create the future our planet needs and shift human behaviour to align with environmental and community wellbeing. We invite you to join us on November 7th, with a series of activities to restore your wellbeing through moments that deepen our connection to Papatūānuku & ourselves. A full activity agenda can be found on our event website.
