What’s in the Woods?
YOUR BABY'S FIRST WELCOME INTO THE WORLD OF THEATRE.

Be transported to a soft and cosy woodland, right out of a picture book, where each new season is full of natural wonders waiting to be discovered by young, inquisitive minds. Enjoy an engaging and interactive story by the campfire before embarking on your own sensory exploration of the woods. Tailor made for audiences aged 0-3 and filled with performance, puppetry and play ‘What’s In The Woods?’ is a gentle welcome to the world of theatre.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

RUN TIME: Approximately 45 minutes, 25 minutes of performance and 20 minutes of play in the space.

The What's In The Woods? sessions are split into 3 age groups, 0-1 years, 1-2 years and 2-3 years. There will be four different sessions for each age group. 

This event is for our 2-3 year age group.

Sessions for Ages 2-3

WINTER: Saturday 12th October, Ron Hurley Theatre, 10:00am - 10:45am

SPRING: Thursday 17th October, Ron Hurley Theatre, 11:00am - 11:45am

SUMMER: Thursday 24th October, The Studio, 11:00am - 11:45am

AUTUMN: Thursday 31st October, The Studio, 11:00am - 11:45am

Sessions will take place in THE STUDIO or THE RON HURLEY THEATRE at the Seven Hills Hub (28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills 4170).


AGES & WARNINGS: What’s In The Woods? Is a gentle theatrical experience created for very young audiences aged 0-3, while older siblings are welcome, please be aware that this is a space for infants and toddlers to safely enjoy.

ACCESSIBILITY: Wheelchair accessible, Baby Changing Facilities provided onsite and in space. Pram parking available. Carer resources available. Breakout space available.

To ensure the most children are able to participate in the ‘What’s In The Woods?’ experience, each family group is limited to a maximum of 2 adults on stage. Additional adults and older children supervised by an adult can purchase observer theatre seats where available.

What's in the Woods? has been developed as part of the new Backbone Theatre for Babies program, developed with company-in-residence Brymore Productions. 
Backbone Theatre for Babies has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, it’s arts funding and advisory body.
