Statement of Attainment in Prepare to Work Safely in The Construction Industry (White Card)
Face-to-face white card training conducted at TAFE - Tumut campus
Youth training 14-24 year olds
REQUIREMENTS
- You must provide 100 points of identification at the start of the training including (1) form of current photo identification.
- Provide proof that you are over 14 years of age.
- Provide proof you live in NSW.
TO BRING
- Water bottle
- snacks
- 30 minute lunch break provided
TRAINING OUTLINE
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
- Fit personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for certain tasks.
- Identify common site hazards in a workplace.
- Identify safety signs and symbols.
- Follow procedures for responding to incidents and reporting hazards, incidents and injuries.
- Recognise the importance of maintaining a safe environment at a workplace.
COURSE OUTCOMES
- A nationally accredited Statement of Attainment
- A pathway to further study in a variety of trade qualifications
- Skills to work safely in the construction industry
- White card certification and legal clearance to enter a construction site
- The ability to use and identify safety equipment
